My 12 year old Toro Power Clear had been starting hard the past few seasons and I finally got tired of cleaning and fiddling with the old clogged up carburetor. This is an identical OEM replacement part and was easy to install in about 20 minutes. Just be sure to remove the choke lever from your old carb before trashing it. The old machine has new life again and should be good for many more years to come.

My 11 year old Toro power clear had been hard to start for about the last three years. December of 2020, I went to start it and it would promptly and repeatedly flood out in spite of cleaning. To replace the float and or needle valve seemed costly for what you got, as compared to getting a brand new carburetor, for a few dollars more... The carburetor I received, made my Toro start and run almost effortlessly! And unlike some aftermarket carbs I have received, this one required no modification to fit, or was undersized in areas that caused a lack of power. The only problem I had was my fault, by installing the governor bracket backward-it still ran strong, just a little fast...Thus, if you’re having the same or similar problems, for the money, you can’t go wrong.

If you have a Toro snowblower and it has a plastic carburetor, replacing it with this metal carburetor is the fix when it leaks gas. Briggs and Toro should have known better than to put a plastic carb on a $700 snow blower. I am surprised that they did not recall all units with plastic carbs. They leak gas when not in use and create a serious fire hazard. I will never purchase a Toro product again due to their refusal to address my machine. It runs great now that I put the metal carb on it. It was a 10 minute job with no adjustment to the new carb needed.

This was put in a 12 year old Toro Snowcommander. What a difference it made! I don't know why anyone would spend 5x to get an OEM carburetor. This works great. Just remember to adjust the idle screw or whatever it's called. Quality product, very fair price, and it is much better than the plastic OEM carburetor that came installed 12 years ago. Don't junk your old machine...try a simple tuneup including a new carb and plug.

Initially I tried to rebuild the original plastic carburetor that came with the snow blower. This was unsuccessful, as the engine was still surging, which is usually an indication of insufficient fuel delivery. After replacing the unit with the new Briggs and Stratton carburetor, the snow blower ran like new.
