I bought this to help transport my 12' kayak. It works very well and even fits inside my boat's storage compartment if I take the wheels off, which is very easy. The only thing I would ask for is a better strap system with it. There are no good anchor points to attach to on the frame and the existing strap isn't convenient to use and doesn't really get tight enough. I added a ratcheting strap with rubberized hooks on each end and perfect. So for not much added cost you get a really good system.

I'm just perplexed that someone would make friction wheels this day and age... no bearings? Give me a break... How hard would it have been to put a couple of pairs of inexpensive skateboard bearings in this design, and make a vastly superior cart at a fraction of a higher cost? To me, that's a major problem. Other than that -- I assume it will roll until the plastic wears out without the bearings. How soon will that be? I don't know. Whoever finds out first, please update the reviews.

This is a good sturdy carrier dolly. However, it has an unbearable strong rubber odor. It was 100 times (No exaggerating) worse than when you walk into the tire department in Sam's Club. I could not even keep it in the garage. I left it outside for 2 good months before I could take it back and keep it in my garage. Bottom line: I recommend it only if you can have the carrier dolly left outdoor for 2 months because of the unbearable odor. PS: I bought this from e-bay. I have found out this same looking carrier in a different packaging box sold at the same price at Academy of Sports and Outdoors. I don't know if it would be the same with the odor but I would choose to buy it there instead.

Be sure to mount the tires with the air valves on the inside, or the axle pins will hit them. Do this AFTER you put sufficient air in them as mine came with about 2# in each(20-25# seems about right). Let the tires air outside a while - I can't figure out why Chinese rubber always has that smell! These dollies work great once sorted-out; I can carry two 11' yaks on mine, even without the strap. So yeah, I recommend this item.

This item looks just like the one selling at a national sporting goods chain for $80. $30 delivered to the house is a great bargain. I would agree with others that the rubber wheels really do stink when you open the box. The trolley sat in my garage for 2-3 days and I no longer smelled the odor. It could use a clip or slot to hotd the strap to the frame, and the strap is a bit cheap. But for $30 I can get a different strap. Overall a great value.
