Compact size...Compact Power. I purchased this unit because the full size one I had failed. This drill is meant for light duty only. It will drive in a 3" framing screw but uses everything it has to do it. It would work much better for installing drywall screws. If all you need is to occasionally drill a few holes or screws it's nice because of it's size and lightweight. However, if you're doing any kind of construction work, get a full size drill.
I used the Craftsman 19.2 V 3/8" cordless drill for household use five years before the trigger mechanism gradually quit. We live in the country with lots of outside applications. I replaced the drill (keeping the battery and charger) for a low purchase price on Ebay and now I'm back in business for a reasonable price. This drill is handy for work away from electrical outlets, it is fairly light weight, and easily adjusts for the difficulty of the job. The charge lasts a remarkable number of days, with our without use and recharges rather quickly. A more expensive brand might have lasted longer, but for my purposes a low cost replacement made sense.
I have used a lot of drill/drivers, but this Craftsman is one of the best. Very handy, powerful and just all round a good tool to have.
I bought a set of Craftsman a few years back but I lost my drill Well I thought I did but I found. I always buy Craftsman They are the best and always a good price.
