A good tool for learning anatomy for any field of medicine! Very detailed. However, in comparision to the Netter's Anatomy (Second Edition) it is slightly paled. The newer edit has a "ring" for placing the cards on to make it easy to "flip" through them while studying, this is a PLUS feature on these cards. You can pick and choose what cards you want on the ring and it gives you a comfort level that you aren't going to misplace or loose any of the cards during your study. The up side for the (2002) cards it that you don't have to worry about the "ring" distorting/tearing your cards so they will always fit nicely back into your box. So it's a toss up!
My class is being taught systemically, these cards are arranged regionally. Consequently, I had to sift through a stack of 300+ cards and pull out all the muscles when we were studying that section. Detail is fairly good. I would say the written detail on the back of the cards is a bit advanced for most 100 level anatomy classes, but the labeling on the front picture is a bit less than what I needed for my 100 level class. Strange paradox. All in all, these are good cards if your class is taught regionally, but I would recommend the Barron's anatomy cards if your class is taught systemically.
I love these cards. They cover everything and they are very easy to use. I am a nursing student and can not start to tell all the times that these cards have came in handy. The index makes everything easy to find and I love the way the cards are color coded. They are a MUST for Anatomy and Physiology I love these cards. Worth every penny and more.
I'm in medical school and boy does it help! I have the netter book as well... but if i don't want to take the book with me I can choose sections from the cards and put it in my pocket and off I go. The drawings are great and easy on the eye in getting a better understanding of the human body. Although it doesn't have holes to attach them on a ring like the updated ones... I can make my own holes and to it the some way but that will take some time to do all 320 cards. The price was very inexpensive and worth the money I spend. Thank you.
I love these cards. They just helped me pass my first anatomy class of dental school. My anatomy class was taught by region, so these cards were perfect. I went through them when I got tired of studying out of the book or just needed a break. They were also a good way to study while walking the dog. I kept them in my purse and would pull them out whenever I had down time. I can think of at least 10 questions throughout the course that I got right and some of my friends didn't because of these cards. When they asked me how I knew the answer, I would always say, "It was on the Netter card!" They would always reply, "Dangit! I should have got those!" These are definitely a must for anatomy! I'm such a fan that I've already purchased the histology and neuroscience for my next two classes.Read full review
