I wanted to experiment with a scout scope on my Model 94 Trapper 44 Mag, equipped with a Pearson's no drill mount, but I didn't want to pay top dollar scout scope prices. After all, this was an experiment and this stubby little rifle has never been a tack driver. This scope really exceeded my expectations. It provides a clear, crisp sight picture and it's correction turrets provide audible tactile clicks, adjusting rounds accordingly. It zeroed in just 7-8 rounds at 50 yards. The eye relief is shorter than the advertised 10.45". The scope I have was more like 8.5-9.5" but was still sufficient. I can't speak for long-term durability but it did survive over 50 full power 44 Magnum rounds, over a 2-hour period, at -12 degrees here in Alaska. I'm very surprised at how well this scope performed. Definitely worth the small amount of money spent! The only thing I don't like is the very thin inner duplex reticle. Good for young eyes, but not my old eyes. Not a show stopper, just an observation.Read full review

Inexpensive scope. Knew when I ordered it. What to expect. Scope is tough. Windage/elevation adjustments work fine. Note: most scopes have windage adj on right, elev on top. This scope has windage adj on LEFT. Had scope mounted and level before discovering this, and lock-tighted. That means my e!evation turret ended up up on the right, and my windage turret on the top. No big deal. Biggest problem is focus adjustment. Has a lock ring. When the lock ring is loosened to make focus adjustment, the ocular bell has enough play in it that it is hard to focus. You get it in focus, and then, when you tighten the lock ring, it moves a little. Causes it to move out of focus. Takes a couple of tries to allow for the movement. Expected this on a cheaper scope. Scope works.

the scope is a good one for the price, my only fault with it so far is the eye relief is at a distance that is not comfortable with my shooting distance. one other minor thing is the cross hairs are finer then i like, a little thicker would be good

I mounted this as a scout scope on a Russian M44. With about 25 rounds thru it, it performed well, although it appeared to have a slight windage zero shift after about 20 rounds. I am still evaluating whether the shift was due to the internals of the scope or the rifle itself.
