I've purchased quite a few products from NC Star over the years. The gun cases have been good. This pistol case has nice features such as separate compartments to protect hard objects from contacting each other. There are plenty of magazine loops too. The zippers have worked well and are durable. The stitching is solid and accurate. While I'm not a huge fan of NC Star, I do appreciate a good value.

Let me be critical and point a few things out. The bag is somewhat plain. It doesn’t have any special features and a basic pouch for your gun that doesn’t leave protection from other items in the bag shifting and moving about atop it. The price is so, so.., when I compare to Walmart’s $14.97 hand/shoulder bag which is twice as thick and slightly wider/longer, has a separate cover to go over the gun before sliding in the pouch protecting your gun and more magazine pouches for that trip you bring your rifle with. Both sides of the Walmart pistol carrier hold magazines besides several extra compartments. This bag has basic Glock magazine holders on one side so you can’t carry any additional rifle magazines if you wanted to make a fun day trip to the range like the Walmart carrier so you would need an additional bag. For those with more than one hand gun consider something else. It also has a small compartment with a zipper on the outside that’s more or less useless because it is so small. You can use it for paperwork and that’s about it. Don’t get me wrong I like it, the quality is good but comparing to Walmart and cost comparison I can only give 3 stars for that reason I just as well would’ve been happy with two of the Walmart versions for my particular needs but I’m not disappointed with my choice. I’m just not jumping for joy ecstatic like some thinking that this stands out from another because it doesn’t. Go look at the Walmart hand bag and see what I mean you probably won’t buy this one. By the way that’s Walmart’s regular price and you can find it on sale for $10-$12 on occasion. If you bought this bag and it’s on the way you won’t be disappointed. of for a gift for someone they will be happy it’s better than nothing. Enjoy.Read full review

I carry a full size 1911 and a smaller 9mm in it no problem. It fits in my range bad no problem. Easier than carrying the hard cases which are bulky. The inner padding between the guns could be a little thicker but it is enough to keep the guns protected during normal use.

I give it 4 stars, because it could be 5 stars but the elastic mag holders are too loose for my G17 mags, which means they would not work at all for a single stack magazine. I think they should add a little padding to both outsides and charge the 5 extra dollars. It would really make it an outstanding case if they fixed those two minor details. However I'm still happy with it and it's great for what it is (which is a cheap way to take my G17 and its mags to the range)

I've heard of "thin" inside padding, maybe but I personally carry mine in their gun rugs or holster and there's a LOT of protection then. I have rifle cases to hold rifle mags, so that's not an issue. The zipper is solid, the handles are sewn up and down the entire case unlike some that sew a couple of inches and are done. If you want a range bag, this one is not it, find a range bag. If OTOH you want a decent way to secure two pistols IN your range bag, this one is a solid buy recommendation. Also they are inexpensive enough to buy several to store in a safe rather than diddling with a metal pistol rack. At ten buckazoids what have you got to lose? The price of a Big Mac or Whopper meal? Egads that's a no brainer!
