Reading over an Amazon Show device with my 10 year old granddaughter during covid separation has been fun for both of us. I wish I could get my copy from local library but buying is my only alternative and the cost is not bad. ( I gifted her with a starter set for Christmas 2019 and learned she had never opened them). This way seems to work to get her into it. I remember reading these voraciously when I was her age, but it seems harder to get kids to read today.

I loved to read as a child and my parents bought me the complete Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Series. I loved every one of them. Since my daughter, now 13 does not like to read I bought a lot of the Nancy Drew Series in hopes that she might like them as much as I did at her age. Good choice on my part as she loved them and is now reading them all! Well worth the money. Enough suspense to keep them intrigued to the end! I was the oldest of 9 and the books got passed down to my siblings- needless to say I had to buy them all over again!
I can't speak to the specific book, as I have not read it, but the testimony is to the series and Caolyn Keene's ability to captivate young minds. My wife and I took in a foster child who due to circumstances was coming up short in her scholastic achievements. One area needing work was her reading and in an attempt to get her engaged we selected a few different authors from the local library. Nancy Drew was a hit, I have bought nearly 50 of the series and the girl is still devouring them.
The book is in amazing condition. I love it
