Works great, but didn't realize how short the wand would be. The cord is shorter than two other Kenmore Progressive Canister vacuums I own, and this model does not have the light feature to let you know heavier soil levels. Overall, it is a good vacuum, which is what I've always experienced with Kenmore Canister vacuums.

I had a problem with the original head getting sporatic power so I ordered this replacement head. We assumed the power cord that feeds into the head was the issue since we could see the external cord and it looked fine. Unfortunately we are experiencing the same problem and the replacement head has a frayed exposed wire leading into it as our original did so this was a useless purchase

I bought this vacuum with high expectations because I've had such great luck with Kenmore floor care products. WOW! I love it! I am not disappointed. The suction is great. I love the power mate brushroll nozzle head. It's great for cleaning under furniture and the maneuverability is fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of canister vacuums. But, I decided to get this model to compliment my Kenmore upright. I found this baby on eBay at a great price from a reliable seller. It was like new! The price point for a new model is a bit more than I'd care to spend, but I would have considered paying full retail. Glad I got lucky and found the deal of the century! The attachments are handy. I especially like the large upholstery brush that fits on the hose. One snap is all it takes to change from the power mate nozzle to the brush attachment. The suction is unbelievable, especially for pet hair on upholstery, bedding, etc. The brush tool is the first "dusting" attachment I've ever had on a vacuum that actually picks up all the dust on furniture. No more swiffering for me. This is way too much easier. I like the storage compartment for the other on-board tools. No more "lost" attachments. I like the fact that this is a bagged unit. I'm not a fan of emptying canisters, although Kenmore makes a great bagless canister vac that I own and love too. The only "con" is that the hose and wand are on the short side. I wish the wand was extendable like the Kenmore bagless canister. With this unit, the shorter you are, the easier it is to use. Not great for a 5'11" person, but I can live with a bit of bending. The results are worth it. This Kenmore canister has a solid feel, and I can see the difference in my carpet. It looks nice and groomed after vacuuming. This unit replaced a 23 Kenmore whose hose was held together with duct tape, and the plastic had yellowed. That vacuum was still going strong but when we moved I decided it was time for a new one. We love this new vacuum. The suction is so powerful there's nothing this thing could not clean. The attachments are great and easy to use. The price on EBay was a great value. Excellent machine and easy to use features.
I am very pleased with this vacuum. It was really easy to assemble. I was afraid it wouldn't have much stucking power because it's so light weight but I was very wrong. I had no idea of how unclean my carpets were until I went over it with this Kenmore. The brush attachment with extension worked wonders in my car. Great investment, would recommend. Only desire is a retractable cord.
