After looking at the specs and reading the revews, I decided that these mics would be perfect for my use. They were inexpensive, but had the specs that I was looking for. When I saw the Musicians Friend had a pair listed together as a special, I couldn't resist. I have done only a few recordings so far. The mics have a very natural sound and I am very pleased so far! It's unbelievable that you can buy such nice sounding condenser mics for so little. Excellent Value.
Purchased for use at church as a vocal microphone. Phantom powered, no on/off switch, condenser mic. Nice clear sound, good pickup. Directional, but not so much as to lose the sound if the vocalist gets a little off center. Looks rather boring, but the great sound more than compensates and improves the chances that the mic will not distract the audience from the performance.
We bought several of these for our local station and are still in use today. Perfect voice reproduction. We have used these for newscasting outdoors, voiceover work, announcing work and for local singers with no problems at all. A rugged super sounding quality microphone. 48 volt phantom power is required!
