The only way to get to a specific set of effects is to click up/down one at a time. This forces you to activate and deactive each effects set on the way to the one you want. For studio stuff, this is OK, but for live performance, there are terrible sounds emitted by various setting modes. Don't buy this for live performance unless you only want to program one or two effect mixes. The volume out of some of the settings is way too loud and makes terrible sounds as you are stepping through to a desired effect. Quality of the effects is pretty low - lots of hiss and noise with most of the effects.
