This camera does the job for me. It is a bare bones 16 mega pix that takes great close-up shots. The auto settings work well and it is very easy (with one touch) to override and use the macro for more detail, great for any ebayer. I set exposure - AS400 for the clearest close-ups because it needs light and using anything over AS400 can make the shots a bit grainy.....The flash is also easy to turn on or off shot by shot. Recommend using external light source without flash for e-bay. I bought the reconditioned AS4000IS and it functions as new......be sure to add an SD card if you buy this one as it is not included and won't save any pics without one....I use a 32g SD. Hope this review helps.
My wife gave me an A4000IS a few years ago and I loved its ease of use & image quality. Best of all is its wide image field. My 'main camera' is an A710IS which I love, but the A4000IS has a wider angle image which, for certain shooting, is indispensable. When I had to replace the one my wife gave me, I HAD to get another A4000IS. I think it takes good quality video; battery life is also very good. A great camera to stick in your pocket and take anywhere.

Can take still and video, great camera for the price. Nice small size fits in my pocket for easy use. The camera takes really crisp and clean photos every time.
It's a simple point and shoot camera, but not nothing like dslr...picture quality is good and it does make decent video. If you look at the price it is good deal for $100 after all it is 16.0 mega pixles camera. It doesn't have too many features if you compare to other cameras like nikon, sony, or fuji etc....canon always comes on top.
Basic digital camera that takes great pictures and is easy to use.
