I had a Bose Solo unit for about three years that cost me about 3 or 4 hundred dollars. One day it would not turn on. I tried a new battery in the remote and all that I knew how to do, but no go. In fact, there was nothing else that I could do. I began to research other sound bars, and found this item. So far I am very satisfied, in fact, I think it is much better than the Bose Solo. Comparing sound quality would be impossible without having both units side by side, however, the Pyle unit has many more features that the Bose does not have. For one, the Pyle unit has buttons on top of it to use, apart from the remote control, which the Bose unit does not have. A second benefit of the Pyle is the Bluetooth, and auxiliary feature. And, last but not least is the cost. The Pyle unit was about one third the cost of the Bose. I fully recommend this unit!!! I took a chance on buying it being a name that I was unfamiliar with, and so glad I did!!!Read full review

I bought this because everyone was comparing it favorably with the Bose sound bars, and I know their reputation for getting big sound out of a small box. The Pyle was cheap and tinny sounding, the little 4" downward firing "sub" was a joke. Don't waste your money and time on this unit. I've heard the Vizio sub / sat sound bars in retail stores, they're much much better sounding, and cheaper than other brands.

Love the sound and ease of use. This sound base is just what i needed to raise my flat screen just a little higher. I don't use my surround sound as much anymore. The bluetooth feature allows me to stream from my smart phone without having to turn on my stereo receiver. Draws less power than a big sound system too. Easy to hook up. I used the RCA hook up until I upgraded to the optical cable. I like the quality of PYLE products

The sound quality isn't even as good as a moderately priced pair of computer speakers. In fact, I have a sound bar attached to my computer that produces ten times the quality of sound. When I turn the device off and go back to turn it on, the volume is spiked nearly as loud as it can go. My TV is hooked up to satellite. The satellite remote does not operate the speaker. The satellite remote setup even lists the speaker's exact model number and says it is connected. Yet, it still doesn't work either on IR or RF.
