Our toddler is 19 months old. In that time, we've purchased 4 strollers trying to find one that we like. Our 2007 BOB Revolution is the best built and most comfortable. Nice Features: Large pneumatic wheels. Provide a very smooth ride and make it very easy to push, even over curbs, roots and fist-sized rocks. Despite another review, I found the tires very easy to inflate, once I used the right pump. Initially I tried inflating the tires with an air compressor. The standard auto-tire inflator would not make a proper seal and didn't work at all. Once I switched to my DC powered emergency tire inflator (the type you run off of your car's lighter to fill up car tires), which clamps directly to the stem, they inflated without any effort. I definitely don't see any need to take the wheels to a bike shop. Large canopy. The built in weather/sun canopy is generous in size and includes a nice transparent section allowing you to see your little one. It expands and retracts easily with a slip cord to keep it to the desire position. Assembly ease. Very easy. Inflate the tires and assemble using the quick release levers. There are a few important considerations that the manual explains well. Folding ease. Very easy, very slick. Squeeze the two side handles to fold the top. Pull the release cord to fold the bottom. Takes about 6 seconds. Overall Build Quality - excellent. Single handlebar - The single, continuous handle bar is much easier to use than individual handles. Rear wheel brake - very easy to apply and release to both wheels at once. Reflective panels - numerous and generous reflective portions to make the stroller visible in low light. WISH IT HAD: For the price, it would be nice to include a few more accessories, especially the console. With the console included, I'd give it an A+. THINGS TO CONSIDER: This is a big stroller. It folds nicely and with little effort, but its still far from compact. If your primary use is in shopping malls or other areas with smooth pavement, you should consider a smaller stroller, especially if you are often putting it in and out of a small trunk. We continue to use our McClarren when size or weight is important and we expect to encounter little or no rough surfaces. The stroller is much harder to steer with the front wheel locked. Generally, if you don't expect to jog, the ability to lock the front wheel is of little value. If you expect to jog, this is a must-have feature. You definitely don't want a permanent fixed front wheel design for parks, malls, and casual strolls. If the price is more than you can afford, there are other brands that offer many of the important features at a lower price. We received a Jeep brand three wheel stroller as a gift. I had a smooth ride and was easy to steer. However, the overall quality was not as nice and IIRC, the wheels required tools for removal and assembly. If budget allows, the best option for many is probably a combination of a BOB Revolution and a quality, light-weight, compact hammock stroller like a McClarren. That combination will give you the range of a quality builty, small & compact easy to transport hammock to a very high quality three-wheel general purpose/jogger with many features. Another reviewer mentioned that the stroller pulls in one direction. The instruction manual clearly explains how to fix this problem and that it is generally only an issue when using the front wheel in the fixed position.Read full review
I purchased the BOB Revolution jogger in Mesa Orange (Great Color) this week. I couldn't wait to use it so that evening me and my little man set out on an adventure. I live in a very busy and hilly area of San Diego so I really needed something that is easy to maneuver with all of the traffic lights and cross walks. 12 inch Front swivel wheel Which can also be set to a fixed setting, maneuvers so easily, it's so easy to push. I have noticed that it pulls to the right if you let go while it's in motion, I'm not recommending this I was just testing the safety strap it comes with that you wrap around your wrist while in use. Harness System 5 point harness is padded and easy-to-adjust the harness straps. This stroller is not designed to seat infants that are unable to support their heads, at least not until you buy BOB's infant carrier adaptor bar($39.00). Jogger Weight and Size when Folded This is a hot point with me. I researched 5-7 different strollers and found 2 that weighed under 25 lbs. The BOB Revolution only weighs 23 lbs and it's so easy to fold. It folds in 2 different places and you don't have to take the front wheel off it get it into your trunk. I have a sedan and I can easily fit it into the trunk and still have room for the groceries. Comfort and convenience Fully padded seat back reclines for comfortable naps on the go. It has two internal seat pockets to carry toys, snacks and sippy cups. The multi-position shade is great and it truly protects baby from the sun. I purchased the handlebar console ($19.99) for my drinks and it has a large zippered pocket that fits my keys, cell phone and wallet. I also, decided to purchase the matching diaper bag ($65.00)with clips that attach directly to the strollers handlebars. The Low Boy basket is large enough to put bags in while shopping. Safety and Performance The inflatable off road rear tires/wheels are 16 in. polymer that have a quick-release, the suspension system uses adjustable, two-position shock absorbers (3'' of travel) to provide comfort, safety and performance. The rear wheel brake system ensures stroller stays put until you're ready to roll again. Then as mentioned before it has a safety wrist strap that should be used at all times. Update I emailed BOB about my diaper bag, when I went to clip it to the handlebars a piece of plastic broke off. I contacted them because I thought they'd be able to help me replace it and they told me to contact the store I purchased it at, directly with the customer. Also, all of their parts are made in China or Taiwan, I thought they would be supporting American made products. I'm a little disappointed in BOB.Read full review
We bought the BOB because we heard it was worth the high price tag. My sister has a Dualie and it was so easy to push with my small daughter and larger nephew strapped in. The shocks are amazing! Our little daughter no longer fusses when we go over large sidewalk cracks or on uneven trails. It's a very smooth and enjoyable ride for her, regardless if we are just going for a leisurely walk or an hour long jog. The only complaint we have, besides the high price tag, is that the air valves for the tires are very difficult to access. We were not able to fit our standard air pump in to pump the tires. We had to take the stroller to a local bike shop, which is a big pain to deal with on a regular basis. When the tires are not pumped up evenly the stroller pulls in the direction of the lower tire so proper tire pressure is important especially when running. While talking with some of my mom friends who own various jogging strollers, I guess that this sort of problem comes standard with most of them. The stroller also takes up the entire trunk of our car when folded up in there, but it does fold and unfold very easily. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend the BOB Revolution stroller to anyone looking to purchase a jogging stroller. I am pretty confident our baby would agree!Read full review
The Bob stroller has the smoothest ride, it's so easy I can push it easily with one hand while I jog. My baby fits in it so comfortably. I have tried several joggers and this one is the best for the price. It is a bit spendy however you have the option to use it as a travel system as well which makes it quite versitile. My only complaint would be that the bottom basket is a little hard to get stuff into and out of however the benefits of the stroller far outweigh. It's also really nice looking stroller, very stylish!!
Great stroller. Easy to push, manage and get through rocks and sand and such(ie great for camping). Perfect canopy cover, 5-point harness, full recline and easy to pop up and fold down. My complaints-for this price point it should come with cup holders and storage that you have to buy separate to go across the handle bar,as well as another purchase to buy a feeding trey for the front and I also find it hard to get things into the lower storage basket, not much room to fit even a diaper bag.
