Deidre Fisher, like most young women living in Portland, Oregon, is over the vampire-romance fad, and can't wait for it to end. Logical, sarcastic, and cynical, she knows that the only good boyfriend is a human one. That is, until her life, and her dignity, is saved by a vampire. Her world is immediately turned upside-down by the appearance of Jonathon, a rebellious vampire who prefers motorcycles and leathers over limos and suits. Together they watch the sun set over the age of humanity as the moon rises and the vampires come out to eat.
