I have the VHS, DVD and D-VHS (digital theater) versions of this movie. The VHS version has roughly the same 220 or so lines of resolution. The DVD of course is much better quality at 400. The Digital Theater (D-VHS) VHS at 1080i is the best for sure and was way ahead of it's time, coming out years before Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Unfortunately, D-VHS never caught on and is now out of production (since 2005). Movies are no longer available through JVC's Digital Theater website but are listed on Amazon, Half, eBay, and other sites as well. I do not have a Sony Blu-Ray machine, but the movie is also out in that format as well. You would have a similar viewing experience watching it in Blu-Ray HD as you would with D-VHS. One last tid-bit for D-VHS fans, Digital Theater machines are backwards compatible so you can also watch your old movies as well!Read full review
