My previous bater had started swelling of bending and so it was pushing the back cover of the phone out, keeping it from sealing and ruining the waterproof features of the S5 Active. The new one is the correct original size and charges to last for a very long time unlike the one that is now 2 years old. This battery is working great and it completely refreshed my phone's vitality. YOu have to also know that the Samsung battery has the antenna for the NFC so if you go with some off brand, you'll often lose NFC functions and you can feel it on the surface of the battery under the label. I will probably buy another one of these for my wife's phone and this is the cheapest way to make your phone great again and I highly recommend it.

I ordered two batteries. Opened one. Battery takes long to charge on any charger. After two times it will not take no more charge only upto 13% in 48 hours. Lasted about 45 minutes at the most in first two full charges it took. Too tight to fit in the phone. Not Genuine or good in any way. With this battery in phone it can only charge with phone off. And if with phone off it repeatedly pops up to download some software for battery. Looks like the batteries have some kind of push software, virus or something. Like the Hard Drives in Pentagon computers from China. With my old battery I don't get this problem and it still works far better even after 2 years of use. Do not buy these batteries.

Bought to replace the original battery for a used Galaxy S5 I recently purchased, thinking it's battery was wearing out. I only get half the battery life with this "New Genuine" battery. It came with a sticker covering the original one and a card stating this was done for import reasons. More than likely a factory second or reject/defected. But then again buying cheap doesn't mean buying quality.

For those of you that have had a battery overheat and swell up, its not just S5's. Found a YouTube video on how to fix the phone with a hair drier where the swelling pushed the front glass loose. Like new again in a few minutes.

I bought 2 batteries with the hope that they would work better that the one I've had in my phone for the past few years. It appears that Samsung has built in obsolescence in the Galaxy S5 and my problem wasn't the battery but it is the phone. Over time the battery standby has shortened to where it is only 6 to 8 hours. I think this is how Samsung almost forces you to upgrade even though you don't want to. Next time I have to replace my phone I might switch to Apple.
