I read the book, and though they changed how the plot plays out, it doesn't diminish the value of the film. Scott Eastwood is believable... quite natural, and Alan Alda was a good 'old Ira'. The girl 'tried too hard' and could have been a little more 'natural', but the 'young' Ira and Ruth actors were really great. The 'shower love scene' was well done, without exposing a lot of flesh to the camera, the passion of the lovers comes across very well. The bull riding action is well done and believable..... looks like some 'real' footage.... and the movie moves right along, with all the characters weaving the story to the very end. I can watch it over and over, and enjoy it every time. Certainly glad I purchased it, and it's a keeper for my library.

My movie arrived quickly. I was sad that the movie was very scratched. I informed the store and they have me a full refund. Therefore I will continue to buy from them and give them a fair review. Thank you for doing the right thing.

Tells a story about how the people are in situations where they live with life’s problems, good things and good people with unfair situations. Entertaining with laughable situations along with good and bad. Great actors portrayed the role of characters was great.

My reasons for choosing the title has to do with details in the book that dragged me down. Sparks had details about Ira that made those chapters boring in my opinion. The movie cut out much of that and thus the title, SHORT AND SWEET. The ranch scenes were great. In reading the book I could appreciate Luke's injury from his Mothers perspective much more. Sophia did not know about Luke's injury until she overheard his doctor say something about his bull riding. Sparks is a very good author and even though the movie was engaging, I would highly recommend reading the book even with the boring sections. I enjoyed both.

Alan Alda's character really set the MOOD for LOVEđź’— & đź’—ROMANCE in his story along with the great acting in Scott Eastwood & Britt Robertson's ROMANTIC STORY. Really looks as though Scott is Clint's Son. I am a huge Clint Eastwood FAN & hope to become the same in Scott. Miss Robertson has definitely got my attention.....
