I love how hot they get and that I can use different size barrels, however, I wish the wands were a little bit longer. My hair is long and there isn't enough room to curl my hair from root to tip. And be careful not to burn your fingers on the ends of these barrels.

I have difficulty using this product. The glove does not really grip the wand and so the curling wand continues to slip out of my hand. I find I now prefer the clamp style curling iron because this type of curling iron may work for a professional but not for the average person who needs to make sure the hair gets gripped rather than trying to wrap the hair around the wand. hairdresser friend of mine and she said it would come in handy for her in-home salon. She has some special gloves to use that I do not have to use with this set.

I was skeptical purchasing this product. I read all the reviews and tried weighing out the pros and cons. After reading the sellers "terms & conditions" I figured what do I got to lose and bought it. Here is my opinion... I am not a professional stylist but I love doing my own hair and my daughters hair. So this looked like something we can use without having all the different curling irons and cords. That alone was a plus. There is no temperature control but all the irons get really hot and hot enough to do my head and my daughters. We both have very thick hair. I read that someone was concerned about the auto shut off not working. I am not sure how long it is suppose to be before it is suppose to shut off, but mine hadn't shut off while I was using it like my old curling irons did. I did not let it sit and wait to see if it did shut off because I unplug mine every time I am done by habit. (a good habit) The glove that comes with this is thin. Some reviews said they burnt their fingers with the glove on. For one, the glove is thin. It is common sense just by looking at it that it would burn you if you were to leave your hand/fingers on the hot iron. two, why would you want to hold it for a long period of time anyway? It is to hold for seconds (to place the iron where you need it) and you hold it with the handle like any other curling iron. As for the wands, you are suppose to hold the tips of your hair. If you do it correctly, you should feel the warmth from the iron and not burn yourself. I myself tried using the curling iron and wand with out the glove. I burned myself twice. I quickly learned not to touch it with my bare hand. I also practiced using it without the glove because I was uncomfortable wearing the glove and parting my hair in sections while curling it. My 12 year old daughter uses it and uses all the attachments more than I do. She has not burned herself yet and loves every single attachment. The one real con I can say about this, is that you can not change out the attachments right away. You have to let it cool off some (which wasn't that long in my opinion). The only reason I had to switch them out is because I had used it first and was using the largest barrel and my daughter wanted the smallest wand. The first time I had turned it off and waited very little and used a thick sock to unlock and remove the barrel. The second time I had waited until it was just warm enough that I can touch it and remove it. The cool down time wasn't very long. Again, that's my opinion. One thing that I did not read in any of the reviews was about the cord. The cord I liked a lot. Its long. A lot longer than my old curling irons and flat irons. That was a very big plus in my opinion because of where I curl my hair in my house. The outlet and mirror is a distance from each other where I am always at the edge of the mirror. With this new iron, I can be in the middle of the mirror and have room to move. I don't know the exact measurements of the cord, but it is longer than any other one I have ever had. I think I covered it all. Overall, I love this curling iron. I wish it had a flat iron attachment and it would be the best product EVER. AND you can not beat the price. Its a super killer deal. For both my daughter and I, it was a win, win. *For those who keep burning yourself, try using a thick sock or oven mit. Sounds funny, but honestly, who cares. It works! (the plastic piece you use to push the iron rod down to clamp your hair broke off my OLD curling iron and I use to use a thick sock because it was too hot to touch. It worked great! But that was why I had to retire it and buy a new one which happens to be the xtava.)Read full review

The main problem with this iron is there is no cool safety tip. Burned myself right away. It did not auto shut off even after an hour. Difficult to change rods. Too hot to change rods. Has to be completely cool and no temp control. Do not recommend.
