Este estudio trata acerca del proceso de incorporacion al campo laboral de las personas con discapacidad intelectual, el cual se realizo con la intencion de caracterizar el perfil sociodemografico de los trabajadores con discapacidad intelectual, describir el area laboral donde estos se desempenan, verificar las condiciones socio-laborales de los mismos, conocer la opinion de los empleadores con respecto a los trabajadores con discapacidad intelectual e indagar acerca de la opinion de estos trabajadores sobre su situacion laboral. El presente trabajo es una investigacion descriptiva. Del analisis de la informacion recabada se concluyo que el area donde estas personas se desenvuelven es la mas acorde para ellos, lo cual no amerita de ningun tipo de supervision por desempenar trabajos sencillos como: limpieza de los banos, acomodadores de productos, entre otras actividades, en su mayoria tienen buenas relaciones tanto con el patrono como con sus companeros de trabajo, muchos son apoyados tanto moral como monetariamente por sus familiares y los gerentes poseen conocimientos y ponen en practica los articulos 28 y 72 de la Ley para las Personas con Discapacidad.
