This laptop is perfect for the field tech. It works well for those of us who work in the field and the office. With the Verizon LTE card you have can go just about anywhere and have service. Laptop battery last a long time. If you get the correct RAM you can lock this to the mount in the vehicle. When you are working on deadlines and weather is an issue you can work in the rain with this laptop with no worries. I have done this many times. If you work in the field this is just an excellent solution. You can actually see the screen during the day while working in very bright sunlight. This is the second laptop I have purchased from this company. They only ship top quality. I only buy from these guys now. I have bought 10 toughbooks online and these are the best two have received. Others came with non OEM batteries and power supplies. These guys only sent OEM parts. I can't stress this enough. This is a great supplier.Read full review

Love the fact that I can run all manner of programs on this machine but it is still (almost) as rugged as my old CF-30... Almost because the CF-31's have a cooling fan! Other than that I love it. Don't think I could ever go back to a standard wimpy laptop again. Don't get me wrong, I've got another laptop, a blazingly fast I7 machine with a 17" screen... for home use only! The Panasonic is my travel machine, because it can survive anything.

This toughbook was in great shape. Its old so its not a speed demon but it get the job done that I need it to do. The 13" screen is small and the touchpad drivers can have issues depending on the version used. Once I get it upgraded to 16 gig of ram and a SSD all will be good.

I have been using Toughbook computers for the last 15 years. I have had very few problems with them and the problems I did have didn't require much expense to fix. I have a CF-31 at work and decided to purchase one for personal use. I have used a CF-30 at work and didn't work well with interface I wrote software to control aircraft equipment. The CF-30 has a 32-bit architecture and the interfaces I work with work better on a 64-bit architecture. The CF-31 is a perfect match for my application at work and at home.

I’m hitting some bumps regarding some IMPT software related to hardware that’s missing. The DVD player won’t run. That’s important for me for my job. SD cards not reading, either. Minor issues I have to address. Minor issues are always time consuming and may require an IT technical professional. Not sure yet. Other than that, I love the machine. Came in great shape.
