I am a 60 year old golfer, with a 15 handicap. This is my 2nd set of Mizuno irons. First, these are a great looking set of irons. I get a lot of questions about the shaft, which has a pleasing satin look, much softer then chrome. The heads are finished well, with the Mizuno insignia raised in the cavity back. In classic Mizuno style, these are forged heads, with very little offset. Weight has been moved lower and towards the heel and toe. Each iron is different, starting at the PW, the iron gets thicker with each club, making the 4,3,2 more like a hybrid. I think that's where the H4 comes from. The top line, at address, is thicker in the lower numbers (more like game improvement clubs), but the length of the blade is still shorter. I must admit, it was 4 weeks of giving $$ to my buddies, but this week everyone paid me... these clubs are very accurate, with consistent distance. Not as long as some, but plenty long (and you know how long, no surprises) I have not been able to work these yet, may be lack of skill on my part. The long irons are easy to hit. Love these clubs, and would tell golfers , with mid-high handicaps these clubs will help you get better. One word of caution .... like me, you may need to learn to hit these clubs. They will make you a better ball striker. Buy, work, get better... stick with it, somewhere between round 5 or 6 you will see a difference.Read full review
Surprised these did not have higher acceptance level, an all around great set of irons (3-PW with TT XP115 shafts). Great looks, easy to set up, great turf interaction, very predictable distances. Still have to pay attention to your swing, but the clubs are not going to swing themselves. Yes, upon first appearance the 3 through 6 iron are bulkier than a standard set of player clubs, but you get over it after the first 5 minutes of hitting them. 7 through PW look relatively normal in head size and very accurate. Would I have paid full retail of over $1000, no, I wouldn't do that for any set of irons. Price aside, these are great looking and playing irons, getting them less than $500 brand new is just icing on the cake. I'm about a 12 hcp.
These clubs are really solid. They do not use a tricked up loft lowering to make you think you get more distance. They are a good combination of look and feel of a blade with a touch of forgiveness without the need for a bunch of offset of a ridiculously large head. Not for everyone, but easily usable from scratch to bogey golfer.

They're really special out of the rough, but I notice more forgiveness across the face than my previous MP-63s. They're slightly less workable but I'll trade that for a reliably straight/slight draw ball flight every time. And the Mizuno buttery smoothness is there in spades. But they really shine in the rough, digging through and shooting the ball out of the deep stuff. Love these irons.

It's the best clubs I've ever had. It's like smacking butter. Never have I ever felt this in an iron I don't know why it's taking so long to find this kind of magic. Mizuno irons are the best clubs ever. Worthy of trying you're going to bed with them after you play them. It just doesn't get any better. Thank you Mazuno
