I always get the audio CDs not the book. George Guidall read this story and he has done a LOT of audio books. He's very good so he makes the story more entertaining. More like a radio play than reading dialogue and not too many "he said" and "she said" which is a big turn off to me with audio books. In any case, Joe Leaphorn a major character from Tony Hillerman (RIP, Tony), does a great job looking for a double murderer and gets himself into a heap of trouble in the process including tracking an American Indian Terrorist Organization called The Buffalo Society. I have read other Leaphorn mysteries that had better plot buildup so I am only rating this good instead of excellent
Great Hillerman story and great reader. Kept me interested throughout - so much so that I didn't get to bed until 4 am. Couldn't wait for the ending. Not a good choice for a weekday listen.

I don't know how Tony Hillerman can keep coming up with stories that spell bound you,but he has done it again. The stroy teller has a very excelent voice for the reading of the story. The cd is very clear even though it is used it has retained it's clarity.
Fast moving in the Navaho way. Kept you interested!!! Lt. Leaphorn at his best!!! A Great writer! Need a time line between books!! Who came first!!
