I bought this item because it had all the features I wanted to be able to use at home. (I don't need the fax at home but I couldn't find a printer that had all the features I wanted without the fax.) I purchased this item because it had a competitive price and the ink is the cheapest. However, it was difficult to get set up wirelessly. The process took about 2 to 3 hours with a call to tech support. They had to "take over" my computer in order to get it figure out. They were helpful, nice, patient, and supportive. They did get it installed wirelessly and it it working great.
Intend is to use for a small business in the future. Purchased a 3 yr extended warranty due to 1-2 year lifespan of previous all-in-ones. Easy to follow instruction out of the box. Wireless took a little extra effort, even following the instructions. Quality comparable to the HP I had before. Cannot see the difference in the kodak gel ink compared to inkjet ink in color printing on standard copy paper(may just be hype to sell the product). Have not used the photo function. Scan quality is very good although there is a difference in process saving the file when done from the printer vs. the computer. Limited sources for ink when in non-metropolitan areas. Had to order mine from Amazon to get the best price. GJ/Hartford City
Purchased this item to replace an almost new Kodak ESP 3320 only because this unit had fax capabilities that the other didn't. All features work very well, printing is fast, color photos on photo paper are excellent (if you use the correct settings), setup and use is easy, and the additional feature of caller ID on the unit was an unexpected bonus. Inks are common and inexpensive (from 3rd party sources), and I get more prints per cartridge than other printers I've had. Average use: 8-10 pages per day, 3-5 photos and 2-3 fax's daily. Most printed at one time: 75 multi color flyers. No glitches. The software that comes with it is a bit bloated, but works well and is easy to understand. But don't care for the linking to Kodak's website. All in all, a great printer/copier/scanner/fax unit that I'd recommend to anyone.Read full review
Had some difficulty setting up to connect wireless with computer using Vista. Once connected its very easy to use and quality of print is good. Haven't had for a great deal of time, but so far seems to be good quality machine.
I was looking for a printer replacement for my Lexmark. Since my wife owns a Kodak printer and likes it very much, I decided to purchase a Kodak printer with a few more bells and whistles. When my Kodak ESP 6150 arrived I was able to have it up and runing with no problems. I especially lixe the duplex feature that allows for two sided printing without having to remove the paper to accomplish printing on both sides. I would have no problem reccomending this printer to a friend.
