Getting an IC extractor was never a high priority for me... until I damaged a rare and out-of stock chip. The replacement cost on the chip was more than the cost of this extractor. Never again will I 'gamble' on a flat head screw driver. This thing pulls chips perfectly every time. I wish I had been wise enough to purchase one before. The old saying, "The right tool for the right job" sure applies!
