I removed my match champion style wood grips and replaced it with this one. It has a similar feel as the match champion but it seems like i can get a firmer grip with it being rubber. I haven't shot the gun since installing the grip, so I don't know if it helps with the felt recoil.

After several thousand rounds fired, the stock grip on my GP100 was ready to go. The Hogue monogrip feels great, and gives a really good grip to withstand recoil of even the most powerful ammo. Changed in about 3 minutes very easily, and needed only a screwdriver. When my other revolvers need new grips, they will be getting one of these.

I ordered two pairs of Hogue rubber stocks without finger grooves for my Ruger GP 100 Match Champion in 10mm and Super Redhawk Alaskan in .480 Ruger to replace the factory installed units. Most finger groove handgun stocks do not fit my hands except for the Kim Ahrends models and these Hogue rubber stocks fit me perfectly. The Hogue finger groove stocks that came with my Super Redhawk had a removable cushioned insert for the web of the hand which the no finger groove models did not have, but I prefer them anyway. I will get more of these when needed.

Good product, good fit, easy install. This grip without the finger grooves is a much better grip for shooting comfort.
