I currently have 4 Fluval FX 5 canister filters, 1 each on 2 55 gallon tanks and 2 on a 125 gallon tank. All 3 tanks are filled with assorted African Cichlids from Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika. I purchased 2 Fluval FX 6 canisters for a 150 gallon tall tank that I plan on raising Tropheus Cichlids. I have never had a problem with the FX 5 canisters so I am quite sure that the FX 6 will be just as good as the FX 5. I like the improvement on the closures but doubt I will use the numbered dials used for dating when the canisters were last cleaned or next cleaning due. I believe that Fluval filters are the best filters for my messy Cichlids.
