Apparently, DLP chip failure is quite common with large Samsung DLP LED television sets. When my 65" Samsung started showing the classic white and dark spots associated with chip failure, I was faced with the problem of fixing or replacing it. After a little research, I went the route of repair and was happy to find out I could do it myself. This replacement chip was easy to replace. All I had to do was find a youtube instructional video and I was on my way. The whole process took around 45 minutes (including a good cleaning) and the picture looks like it did when my tv was new eight years ago. My savings were over $1,500.00 from buying a new tv. I highly recommend this.

The product is great and works just fine, I checked with local repairmen and was quoted A $250.00 price to put the chip in. I said forget that I will do it myself, knowing absolutely nothing about doing this I tore into it, took the T.V. apart put the chip in, my wife walked in and said it will never work again. Plugged it in, turned it on and had A great clear picture. Great product. A little pricey but good.

With some help from you tube I was able to save a lot of cash. Part only goes in one way. Came with everything you need gloves, micro fiber cloth and a piece of heat transfer tape. Packaging was great.

Sure these chips perform well. Why are they so expensive? When they first started breaking down in 2009, they were only $50. to replace. Now they are almost $200, for NO REASON. This fact is probably one of the reasons for the demise of the format. GREED GREED GREED
