I have used this adhesive for many years, but actually never for canopies. I primarily use it to assemble foam RC Aircraft, and it works great. It goes on white (like Elmers) and dries clear. It adheres to just about anything, and is quite strong. I use it to attach engine mounts, servos, graphite stiffeners, etc. to both foam and wood. It also works well to repair foam that has been through a hard landing. It usually takes overnight to dry thoroughly. It lasts a long time without going bad, but for all the things it is good for, it's not likely to be sitting around for long. Love this stuff!

I build scale models, and I use this glue when regular styrene glue is not effective. This glue is great for use with clear styrene parts such as aircraft canopies and window inserts because it dries clear, and doesn't craze (fog) the clear part like styrene glue does. I also use it to attach brass photo-etch parts to plastic parts in lieu of CA glue (super glue) because CA gets brittle over time. Canopy glue bonds to just about anything and it's water based so cleanup is easy. The only downside is the bond is water soluble even when it dries. Not good for use with anything that will be exposed or immersed in water.

Always liked this glue as it dries totally clear and sticks well to plastic canopies, styrofoam, wood, etc. Has a different brand name these days but appears to be the same great product.

I purchased this product on a recommendation in a youtube video. Have used it for its general purpose of gluing together n scale models and it works great so far. Iused it for placing printed signs in windows and the clear drying glue shows not at all on the windows yet holds the plain paper signs perfectly in place. See Outland Models kits video on youtube for an example. Its potential uses seem to have only ones imagination as its limit!

Superb canopy glue, identical to the original Wilhold RC56. It's water based so cleans up effortlessly/ It cures clear and flexible with reasonably strong grip to smooth or porous surfaces, making it ideal for securing canopies or windows to stand up to the stresses of flying model aircraft. With some imagination it's useful for many non-modeling tasks as well.
