What a blunder! Had I known about the wear issue on the bow string being in constant contact with frame and how it shortens the bowstring life, I never would have purchased this bow. Will a new bowstring in place, it's been. Relegated to reserve status. Shoots well, but the wear factor Over shadows any of the redeeming features I saw it having. I wish Barnett had kept supporting models from years before they purchased the company!

Couldn't find much of anything wrong with it when I looked it over. Strings were perfect, couple spots with visible paint chips but overall almost perfect. Put a truglo red dot on it and started shooting. Sighted in quickly and hit very tight groups. All the bolts were touching every time exactly where I aimed at 20 yards. Shot great. I'm completely satisfied.

This x-bow is the fastest i own. It's faster than my 70 lb. Compound. It's got a very solid deal even though it's plastic. And I got way more than I expected for the price accuracy is good, real good. I can't shoot that good with my compound which I've had for years

After receiving my new Raptor bow I commenced to put it together. Instructions were a little vague but having put Christmas gifts for kids together for 40 years I was able to figure it out. They helped confirm I had it together right [pictures] more than telling me how to do it. Does that make sense? Within an hour I had it sighted in and ready to hunt. Shoots very fast and very accurate. It is light and easy to carry. Width from axle to axle is 16 inches - very narrow. Very easy to maneuver in a tree stand. I owned a Tenpoint years ago and this Raptor blows it out of the tree hands down. And for much less than half the price. The string cocker with the handles make it easy to cock which I needed with my shoulder problems. I did not buy the crank at this time - don't need it yet. If my torn rotator problem gets worse it may an option. So far I can't find any faults or drawback problems with this bow at all.Read full review
