I took a chance on buying this since I have never heard of it before. So, before purchasing I did some research which led to my final decision. The 3-in-1 concept of being able to play some of my favorite childhood games is just phenomenal. My only gripe with this would be the controllers. They are very generic and do not come close to what the original controllers were and felt like. They are rough and very hard to control, making it hard to do anything while playing. There were times where I could not tell if the wireless capability was failing or if the controller itself was stiff. I ended up having to purchase separate controllers for the respective consoles just to play my games. Still, overall it is a decent buy and does save you on some money with only buying one system instead of 3.Read full review

I purchased this for my grand children . They were so excited to be able to play some of the good ole games but I couldn't set it up on their newer televisions. I had to got to a pawn shop and purchase one of them old boat anchors to be able to use the gaming system because after they saw it there was no returning it.

It was an okay purchase. It was the first time i had bought something like this. A gaming system of a non well known brand. I was lured in when i saw that it had wireless controllers. I got the system so I could play SNES games and to play them on a wireless controller sounded pretty cool. When I got the system and begin to play, i noticed that the controllers weren't working. i put in good batteries and still no reaction. I then found out that I had to be within like 3 feet of the system and be like straight in line with the little lense on the front of the system that reads the signal from the wireless controller. I had to call and email to figure out how to use the controller. There were no instructions on the box on how to operate the controller. All it had were instruction on what the buttons would be for the system of gaming you plan on playing since this system could play 3 different systems. That was a bummer for me, having to use the controller within a short distance from the system. Reading that it had wireless controllers lead me to believe that I could play from the comfort of my bed or couch, yet i had to instead pull up a chair or sit on the ground right in front of the tv. i ended up having to get me the corded controllers. at least i could play a longer distance from the and didn't have to be within line of sight of the system. Again the system itself works great. I was just unsatisfied with the wireless controllers it came with. If I had known the controllers would be that much of a hassle, I wouldn't have made this purchase, at least not at the price i paid.Read full review
This is a great console for the money. It does everything you need it to do. It's built very cheaply though. You can just feel it when you are holding it in your hands. Super light & you know you don't want to step on it or drop it right away. Other than that its straightforward. The games come in and out pretty rough. The SNES had an eject for a reason. It doesn't feel right yanking them out. The controllers that come with it are cheap. You wont wanna use them. They also have battery bays acessable only by using an eyeglass screwdriver which is unnecessary. Get some real ones with your order. They have newer versions out now like the retron 7, etc. I didn't know that when I bought this. Buying games is more expensive than you think. You might find the game you want on another system cheaper. Options options options.Read full review
The system is great, the controllers are crap. Like they are worse than the AT Games Genesis controllers. Thankfully you can use not one, two, but 3 controller types: NES, SNES, and Genesis controllers. Though none of them are cross-playable. If you want to play NES, you need an NES controller. There's small issues that vary for different Retron 3's, Some have an extra switch dial that's non-functional or one of the controller ports are a bit loose, Small issues, nothing major. For me, the NES cartridge slot really hangs on to my game and you need to really muscle it out. Its technically not a bad thing but they could of loosened it up a tiny bit. Its a fantastic product that costs about as much as a Super Nintendo and the games play nearly identical to identical. I highly recommend it if you want to play SNES games because a SNES costs about as much but this comes with 3 systems instead of one.Read full review
