Very basic information, written at entry-level. Contains no handbook reference material that a working millwright would refer to. I felt it was a waste of money. The write-ups on the subjects suggest that the authors have not spent a day on a crew; even the crane signals they cite leave you wondering. Don't expect any help from this if you want to build or power any kind of a mill or materials handling equipment.

I had this book when I went to get my Diploma in Industrial Maintenance Mechanics back in 1995. It carried me a long way. It covers everything you need to know. It is a trades-persons Bible. (I am a woman!)If you need a book, get this one, I promise,it covers everything!!! It has been updated since 95, with up to date standards. well recommended.
One of the best books a Millwright can have in his tool box. Handy, precise and full of great information. This book is considered to be as the Millwright Bible. A absolute book to have. Millwright Ron www.unionmillwright.com
