This camera Is probably close to 30 years old. They were a compact high quality manual camera that does not need a battery except to run the light meter. This model is full of high quality machined parts and is practically bulletproof. A lot of pros who already owned f3 highpoint pro camera bought these for backup and informal shooting. The camera uses Nikon auto indexing lens and earlier. Shutter speed tops at 1/1000 and flash guide number is 1/125. They are priced reasonably now. I am tickled to have one just to collect if not to use. I wish that i could still buy slide film for this camera. If you have lots of money buy a Nikon Fm2 which has 1/4000 top speed and later models have an aluminum shutter instead of a titanium shutter that the first ones had. Both are good but go for the aluminum one if possible. If you ever wanted a high quality Nikon buy one of these while you can! LarryRead full review
This camera is a great in between camera for the amateur or the professional. It features an easy to use center-the-LED exposure system, and very intuitive controls. There are only a couple problems with the camera. It feels very light, less durable than older versions, when you hold it, and the thin, goldish layer of paint on the metal will peel of very easily. Overall, a great buy for the money especially if you can find it used. With the paint chipping problem, all I can say is it looks better without it.
the nikon fm10 is a GREAT analog slr. it's very simple too. you could seriously learn everything about the camera in 5 minutes. i've been using it for the past month on slide film. now i'm convinced that film is NOT dead. and it will not die anytime soon. for $150, the picture quality matches up to those DSLR's that cost $650. i am very satisfied.
I am glad I could just purchase this without BIDDING on it and LOOSING! LOL Thank you,my 17 year old daughter will be taking photograpy in school, she has lost any passio she had for the arts and hopefully this camara sparks some light in her pretty little little head and she discovers the wonders of true photograhy. she is not a very happy kid nor does she have many things, this camara will hoefully open her eyes to the art as happens to many amatuers at the teenage years. Thank you again for putting it for sale, we will leave your name engraved on it as a momento. as ever, Linda Malone ans Shannon Rose
I went from a nikon d60 to a d90 and im happy i did. I love it, its amazing. Its easy to use, to take pictures with and everything. If you want to get some-what serious about photography, then this is your camera of choice!
