I wish EA would get focused and make another like this one. 2k is great but it's always been a problem with controlling the players. The control in this game is almost flawless. Everything about this particular live is on point. Yeah the roster isn't updated but so what, still a great game. Why can't EA just use this model with some updated graphics, features and roster. It would give 2k a run for its money. Especially if they brought it out like 10 bucks cheaper. Like 2k did with NFL2K05 back in the day. It was only 20.00 and better than Madden that year.

I believe that as far as actual gameplay, this is by far the best basketball video game ever released. The movements are so fluid and realistic that it feels like you're playing real basketball. The daily updates of player "DNA" and transactions are also quite impressive. The only negative remarks I have about the game come from the features side, due to the lack of any historical players or teams and the disappearance of the NBA All-Star Weekend including the 3-point shootout, dunk contest and skills challenge. The rookie, sophomore, East All-Star and West All-Star Teams remain, however.
The only thing that separates this game from being excellent, in my opinion, was the change in control button functions. I have had several of these NBA Live games dating back to 2002. The change the operations of the buttons--like how to shoot or pass, etc., still makes me make mistakes. This NBA Live 10, is fantastic and much more realistic. The shooting is nice once you get the hang of the shooters way of shooting. I'm still learning but I love the game!!!!!! I would recommend it every time!!!
This is a great game from the previous version of Live, the gameplay is a little better all though the graphics suffered a lost from the live 09 installment. The thing that I hate about this game is that they went in reverse and took out all of the game modes and features that make this live series fun; such as the 3 point contest, and the slam dunk contest. All they left was the dynasty mode which is boring after one season and online play. Although they took out the fun features over all its still a good game.
we all know the story on the graphics - they're better. but NBA 2k10 has just about caught up !! Game-play is spot on, one step better handling of the ball than last year.............. The part that I absolutely love about the Live series though is the daily Player DNA updates though!! If your players have a dismal performance on tuesday night, lo & behold, by wednesday morning, it will be reflected in your player stat sheet!! It also reflects long-term hot & cold streaks, if the player is using new methods...... where the player is shooting well or poor from the court. it's really outstanding how extensive the daily player DNA updates are!!! And that's where it just barely inches past NBA 2k10. NBA Live has created a new type of gameplay mode, where you spend the season playing games the day of, or the day before they are really played in real life... or by re-playing games from the night before, your stats are compared to real life. your stats are compared to other players on Live! and you really learn a lot about your play style.. about your skill level.... it's so rad!!! Oh yea, doesn't hurt that these days you can find Nba Live 10 for about 10 bux less than NBA 2k10. That makes the choice easy! Nba Live retains (my) NBA Gaming throne for another year!Read full review
