So this is a great game. The graphics are good for the Wii, I love the fact that you can use the classic controller and the pro, the gameplay is great, and "My Player" mode is really good as well. I had NBA Live 09 for a long time and played that game for so long, and loved it. 2K11 is leaps and bounds ahead of Live. The only reason I gave this game 4 stars was because the controls are incredibly complex. I've played for at least 4 hours already and I still don't have even 1/4 of the controls down. The game is possible to play without learning all the complex controls like the double crossover, step back leaning left fadeaway, and just stuff like that. Overall, if your looking into this game, BUY IT! You will not be disappointed and will get well more than your money's worth. It's the best basketball game on Wii and in my opinion, the best sports game, including Madden.Read full review
I would have to say the Xbox version is better with graphics but this wii game is not bad. I don't have an Xbox so I decided to buy it for the wii. It has everything in it the Xbox has except the graphics. It contains the Michael Jordan challenge which I haven't played much of. I have been playing the Chicago Bulls current team in regular season and playoffs. I would say the game is pretty realistic. It connects you to the internet in which you can download sports information and current rosters. I was shocked when it updated all the recent trades in the NBA. Previously, you had to buy the next version. The controls are a little difficult to use. You have to get use to using both the main controller and the nunchuck. Sometimes it can be very sensitive in which you are making half-court shots when you don't want to. If it wasn't for the graphics and getting use to the controller, I would rate it Excellent. This game is fun as a supplement to the Xbox version. I would recommend owning this if you don't have Xbox!Read full review
I wanted an inexpensive bball game to keep me busy while riding on my bike trainer in the house. I bought 2k11 shortly after 12 came out, and it was a good price. I'm pretty happy with the functionality and play of the game. Passing to the right player can be a bit tricky sometimes and occasionally the controller thinks I said to shoot when I was really just moving my hand to be more comfortable. Still, it's a fun game and plays well. Maneuvering through the menus is not as smooth as I would have liked; in fact, the look of the menu screens leaves something to be desired. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase.
I love playing NBA in the video game especially when you hear the swishing of the net after a shot. I had the EA games but decided to try the 2K version. EA games was just way too easy. My first comment is that the controls were not intuitive. It was a little difficult to learn the controls compared to the EA games especially if you're using the Wii mote + Nunchuck but I started to get used to it. I got a little better but I can't seem to get the right technique. The manual was no help since it was a little confusing and I'm not a basketball fanatic. I just wanted to play a video game I can enjoy....and I don't enjoy losing by a huge margin!!! Maybe this game may be better using other consoles (???) In addition to the challenging controls, the graphics were just ok. I just hope I get to understand the controls as soon as I can to enjoy the game. It's a good thing I bought this cheap.Read full review
