Major problem: The battery cover would fall off in my pocket. This phone has no battery retaining dimple or clip so once the cover bails, the battery freely falls out into the pocket as well. Thus, 1 star was given for 'ease of use' as it really sucks having to reassemble the phone and wait 2 minutes to get a signal in order to make a call. Also, just to note, there is no record of calls missed when the phone is off. The silver lining is an above average battery life. Go figure - a battery that spends lots of time removed from a phone tends to hold a charge longer. As with all Net10 phones, this one is stripped of many of the handy features that could make it more desirable. As far as signal problems and whatnot, I never had an issue. I have only used the cheapest of Net10 phones including Motorola W408g (this one), LG320G, Motorola C139, and Nokia1600. In my experience with these various Net10 phones, this one was by far the most poorly constructed model. I also recommend steering clear of the LG320G as mine fails to receive text messages for extended periods without incessant calls to tech support. You can not add airtime unless the phone can receive text messages.Read full review
I bought one of these on sale at Fred's store for $15 on sale. I liked the style, the compact size and was looking forward to using it as an MP3 player! But, guess what? The earphone jack requires an adapter! As a phone, I think it sucks! Reception is below average and battery life is terrible! As mentioned by others, the battery door falls off easily so the battery falls out ending your call. Despite my complaints, I have several friends that have one, love it and even bought replacements when their old one died! The last one to do this had to replace it because he left his old, battered one in his car thereby ruining the keyboard where he couldn't use it at all! But still, he went out and bought another one just like it! My recommendation? Buy an unlocked GSM phone or iPhone and get on board H2O mobile! Best prices, best service reps and a wide choice of services offered from monthly minute plans with "roll over" or monthly DATA plans as low as $25 / month for 1000 minutes or 80mb of data. That's 2.5 cents a unit! Best deal on the planet!Read full review
Phone is great. Especially like the MP3 player. Customer Service is hit & miss. This phone will not format any memory card higher than a 2GB. Customer Service did tell me different. Also they would not transfer days I had already paid after a direct promise that they would (without my asking). It's also important to get a 2.5 earphone adapter with 2 bands around it. 3 band adapters may only be heard in one ear. Pictures can only be transferred to your PC by using data like sending to your email. NO direct transfers. Wondering why I rated it so highly myself? But the phone works out great for me & can't beat the price. These are now $15.00 at Dollar General. I got mine online for $1 & change + $4 shipping. Not so great for internet use. Customer Service is always ready to make things right once you spend more money on adding more service. I highly recommend if you want to hear music without bothering with headphones, want a compact device & don't rely on it for internet use. Short Version: It's a great phone & mp3 player but that's it. The $25 for 750 minutes/ month plan works best for me.Read full review
Need a "Smart Phone"? Look elsewhere. Want to answer your phone without looking at it, and hang up on a call and stuff it in your pocket and move on? This "flip" phone will do it. Have had one for five years, just successfully replaced it (after NO failure) thank you eBay because I got worried, all the silver paint on the outside had worn off. If you have good connectivity (AT&T in my region) battery life is GREAT (but be warned, this unit will "hunt" w/o good consistent connectivity and you'll have to charge it once a day, otherwise every four days or so w/good connectivity.) W/NET10 you can email pics to a regular net email address (something that other "primitive" cell phones will not do.) For my now continuing NET10 "feature phone" subscription (I have 10+ years "service hours" left due to SIM card updates/swaps, they double your time left, every time!) why pay by the month? Camera may be "primitive" too but dang if pics I took didn't cinch a car accident for me two years ago to my benefit. For 20 bucks dang fine engineering.Read full review
