I have a Razr V3m from Verizon and its a pretty okay phone however it isn't worth the price if you are looking at buying one. I got it for free through starting a new account with Verizon so I am happy with mine only because it was free... I like the design and the options available however my old Samsung phone which is worth about, oh, four dollars would be a better buy considering it can do everything the same. Other than that, the phone has a camera which takes relatively clear picture. It has a voice recorder which comes in handy, and there is the option for texting. One thing I really don't like about this phone is it sometimes sticks. What I mean by that is if you flip the screen and click on the "message" button, it may take a few seconds for it to come one when it shouldn't. All-in-all, I wouldn't pay alot for this phone, everything is so standard! If you get it for free, enjoy, its a nice phone.Read full review
The v710 was my favorite non PDA/Smartphone until the RAZR V3m. The "m" model contains a storage card capability and Now the v3m is my favorite non-business mobile phone. I tested the telephone for two weeks, while my Smarthphone was being updated. RECEPTION The reception is extremely clear; comparable to a landline or Vonage phone. During the two week trial period, there were not any dropped calls. I was pleasantly surprised to the signal as I was accustomed to the Smartphone dropping the calls on the same line. The speaker phone works loud and very comparable to my TreoWX, without the typical cell phone feedback background noise MP3 Fun, fun, fun. I removed the storage card from my HP PDA (2495) and TreoWX and used inserted it into the Razr...music and videoes galore! The songs and videos were very clear. Impressive. CAMERA The camera was typically mobile, nothing more nor less. A great tool for sending the spouse out as a grocery shopping tool or accident scene. The video function is a cute feature to be used as well indoors or daylight. TEXTING Keys are large and clear. The illumination is excellent in dark places. The response time for sending and receiving texts were also immediate. BLUETOOTH It synced with my PDA, headsets, Smartphones, and et cetera with great ease. HEADSETS Absolutely terrible. Useless. They hurt your ears! I also bought this telephone for my sister's as a graduation present; her only complaint - the headset. DESIGN Flip design. LOVE IT! Very very comfortable, making the bluetooth headset unnecessary. I was able to multitask while speaking, even on those long personal calls. Thinness - fits nicely in front coin pockets, back pockets, and even those "hidden" places... even with the faceplate! RECOMMENDATION A screen cover is recommended to protect it from sweat. OVERALL Thin. Pretty, as a junior staff loves to call it..lol. Excellent reception. Durable. If a PDA/Smartphone is not needed then this is a great phone.Read full review
While I agree that the razor is a great phone, I have experienced a rather unfortunate experience that I want to pass along. The problem with my razor is the display (totally my fault). After dropping it on a cement floor, the display went black. After a few days of turning it on and off and taking the battery out, shaking it, praying, cursing it and then giving up, the display just reappeared to my delight. It has been working pretty good but unfortunately, the display comes and goes. Not all the time, but it is a hassle. I never get any advance warning. Usually if I turn it off and remove the battery and then put it back together and turn it back on, it reappears. Sometimes this takes a few trys. I take full responsibility for this, since I am the one who dropped it. But I am sure most people will drop their phone at some point, no matter how careful we try to be. So if you decide on the RAZR, try not to drop it:) Also, my teenage daughter has the same phone. She has dropped hers many more times than me. Luckily for her the display always worked after the drop...until this last time. Her phone display is now totally gone and I will be replacing it with ANOTHER RAZR:)Read full review
I've had many cell phones and many cellular companies. The Razr is by far my favorite cell phone. One major thing everyone warned me about before I got it was that it is frail and easily broken. I've had it for a little while now and have dropped it numerous times. I'm rough on cell phones (ran one over with my car...oops) so I very hesitantly got a Razr. Like I said, dropped it too many times to count...sometimes on hard tile surfaces, other times on cement and on rare occasions carpeted areas. I've experienced no problems as of yet. The Razr has several features that convinced me to get it even knowing the chances of breaking it. One is the fact that it is a picture phone and you can take short videos as well. The quality of both is good. You can have individual ring tones for people in you address book and can have a picture displayed when they call. The Razr is bluetooth ready. It's slim and sleek. For those of you that are into tight clothes, you can slip it into that pocket on those tight jeans and still be able to breathe.Read full review
I got a Razr from verizon and becasue i'm in construction it happen to get wet and the computer chip was damaged. It is a really great phone the features it offers, the size, the attachments and options on different covers it great. The people @ verizon told me since i still had quite awhile left on my contract it would be cheaper to buy a new/ used one on ebay. I am very pleased about my purchase it was worth the wait and money.
