The phone is very small and compact. Its touchscreen is surprisingly responsive. The keyboard has a good tactile feel to it and is easy to type with. The apps and programs included run smoothly and quickly. The thing with the apps though, is that they are geared toward a younger audience. It is very social media friendly but for those of us that do not want these types of features, we are merely stuck with them (which I don't mind all that much). There is both a backtrack feature in the back as well as a d-track in the front AND the screen is touchscreen. I don't understand why a phone would need that many methods for directional input. I think either the backtrack or the d-pad should be taken away... esp the d-pad arrows in the front - that space could be used for larger alphabetical keys on the keyboard - and the "ok" button that comes with the d-pad is totally useless. Besides the physical keyboard the phone also offers a virtual keyboard - which I cannot see people using regularly since the screen is so small... but its a nice option to have. The phone's battery life is more than sufficient. It can last for a whole day (about 15 hours for me) for heavy use and for days that i dont touch it often (light use) it can last up to a few days. That's more than I can say for other android phones. Negatives that I see: small screen size which slightly hinders graphics and texts but thats what Zoom is for. cramped keyboard which you quickly learn to use. not enough phone memory - after downloading a few apps, I quickly ran out of memory no led light color options - the phone CAN be set up to light up as notification but it lights up with the row on the home screen and only has one color which is inconvenient because its the same color for both emails and texts and you cannot easily differentiate between the two unless you check your phone. Overall, I give this phone a very positive review. It's a great value for its price.Read full review
i bought this product wanting to gradually ease into the whole new world of smart phones. it was extremely affordable and came with a lot of cool features. i love that it's compact and super thin. it did not take very long to get used to all the apps and features that the phone has to offer. the only redundancy that the phone carries is that besides the screen being a touch screen, there is a track pad on the back. but there is an option where you can turn it off. honestly, it's an easy to use social media type of phone. GREAT for texting people. it comes with threaded messaging and just lets you do so much at once! the speaker volume is fantastic. the camera quality, not going to lie, sucks. doesn't come with a flash, but, if you can look past that. it's an amazing phone through and through.Read full review
I have had this phone for a few days now and it's just like it's name a *charm*. I haven't had a single issue with it. Since I'm an absolute tech junky when it comes to phones I decided to try this one out since I've had yet to see it. The trackpad on the back seemed kind of weird at first but once you get used to it, you tend to use it more. The touchscreen is superb and isn't over sensitive like other touch screens. The shape of the phone makes it easier to hold and since I'm a total klutz it's very helpful for me(no drops as of yet)! The qwerty keyboard is very easy to use especially if you are good a typing on a computer. The speakerphone is loud and very clear. It has this neat little feature that if you pick the phone up and put it to your ear during a call the screen automatically shuts off to prevent accidental face screen touch(you know you talk on the phone and when you get off you discover that your face has opened up all these app, sent texts messages and downloaded apps from the market, lol) and once you move it from your face the screen comes back on! Neat huh?! You also have complete access to your favorite social networking sites right from the home screen. The camera takes great pictures (better than my my touch google ever did)...and there is tons of space! You also have 7 home screens that you can personalize as your own and that makes for plenty of apps and whatnot. There is an earphone jack located on top of the phone that makes for easy listening whether it be listening to your music or talking on a headset. With the latest update you can now make wifi calls from any wifi network. Since I have unlimited calls already I don't use it as much but if you don't have good service in certain areas, wifi calling is a great feature. the battery life is good and it only takes my phone a hour and a half to charge from about 5% battery left to full charge. Compared to other phones this may be the best one I've had yet. I don't have any dislikes yet and hope to never have any!Read full review
I purchased this phone new from T-Mobile at full price to replace my free phone that was a complete piece of crap (T-mobile Tap). This phone has a blackberry form but thank goodness it runs the Android OS and performs very well for a low cost smartphone. Nice browser, easy and I mean easy texting with the keypad, and all the google features (calendar, maps, gps, etc.). I highly recommend this phone over all the other T-mobile low to mid range smartphones!! It is Charming!!!
