Replaced my 1983 Yanmar 186 seat and it feels like the original. Solid steel frame and firm cushion. the only drawback was the bolt spacing was about 1 1/2 inches to wide so I had to get a longer rod and then shimmed both sides. I used a threaded rod to make it easier but will probably drill the rod for cotter pins if lock nuts get loose when tipping the seat up. All in all great quality seat for a very good price.

Best price around on a decent little replacement seat: however, don't expect it to simply bolt-on on every tractor. First, the bracket bolts provided are simply too short - no big deal since even Lowes' has longer bolts ( need to be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer ) for about $2.50 for 4 ( you also need to add lock washers ). The possible problems arise when you discover that the brackets, which offer adjustment widths of from about 3 3/4 to about 10 1/4 inches - but does NOT let you adjust in the 6 inch to 8 3/8 inch range - so you might be modifying something - I, of course, needed 6 1/2 inches of space for the seat mount on the tractor ( Iseki TS2005 ) : the brackets will NOT adjust in this range - so I trimmed 1/4" off each side of the factory mount and the seat fits perfectly. I also had to build a shim to go at the rear to level the seat and get it to miss the 3 point lift lever - a bit of 1 3/4 by 3 x 10 mahogany and it fits and works like factory.Read full review
