I am enjoying this book. I do not beleive it to be more than a fable as the cover states. However it is a real feel good story that is a pleasure listening to. In addition the author gives the basis for his story and that makes it all the more heart warming to me, knowing that he lovingly based it on a realitive. I decided to buy it because I don't have time to read anymore and this is a wonderful repreave for me while I am driving in my car, it to me is better than curling up with a book because I don't have the guilt of letting something else go to read.
Wonderful story. The cd is in excellent condition and plays perfectly.

I am impressed and amazed at the writting style of Mitch Albom. He can have you in the present time in one paragraph and 50 years earlier in the next, without confusion. He has a way with bringing you right into the story, giving you the right information at the right time and making you feel like the story is yours. I have read all 3 of his "non-sports" related books, each one I finished the first time I picked them up. I even bought the audio books for my husband who travels for work and doesn't really care to read that much. He LOVED the stories and talked about them for days. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and have no complaints whatsoever!
I bought it because it was on the summer reading list for my daughter. She put it on her ipod and would listen to it on the bus while traveling to and from camp. Much easier to listen then to have to read it!
Though fiction, this account imparts major life lessens toward living a more inspired life. It would be hard not to reflect on one's purpose here and to live to make a difference if even in just small ways.
