Problem free portable satellite reception. Howard is back to entertain me 24 hours a day with replays and the second Howard Channel 101. The unit works great. I can set it in the window with an FM transmitter using the Altec Lansing antenna headphones. With this method I can hear Sirius radio anywhere in my house. I recommend the FM transmitter available from C Crane Company. This allows you to hear your favorite satellite channels without an expensive antenna set-up. All in all this is a great radio and I have not found any problems with my radio that I've read about in other reviews.
I needed to replace my SL2 which was a bunch of years old. Maybe 5 or more. I love that you can put a dock in different vehicles and take the radio from car to car if needed. Sometimes I just stream from my phone to the bluetooth in the car. I got the used, but in great condition radio from TSS. I think they are near Chicago. I have been a Sirius subscriber since the beginning and I remember TSS being in the business from the beginning. They are trustworthy and I appreciate that.

Even though the wireless feature isn't functional on these any longer (not supported by Sirius) they are still great little portable devices for receiving satellite radio service. Great quality.

For starters and I've had satellite Radio in my Chevy avalanche since day one and it's a 2002. My choice to have the portable satellite radio so I can also have it in my home on my motorcycle and also at the gym .

In 2002 my wife and I bought a sailboat and went sailing. We started out in Annapolis, MD and ended up in Bocas del Toro, Panama. On the way down the Intracoastal Waterway, I had trouble finding a radio station I liked. Sirius Satellite radio was in its infancy, but seemed like the solution. So I purchased a radio and auto kit (boat was also 12 volts DC) and put my antenna on the cabin top. I purchased a "lifetime" subscription for $399. Great reception all the way to Mexico and Belize. But further south, needed a better antenna as the signal was weak. Found the Pixel which greatly increase reception all the way to Panama. Only issue was that it was directional so at anchor, bought a "Follow-Me_TV" antenna stabilizer. I am listening to Sirius as I write this in my office. I bought this radio as my current one is about 6 years old and I fear it will "die" one day and didn't want to have to go looking for a replacement years down the road. The Stiletto 2 is my current radio and my Jeep and office have the "base" for this and I didn't want to have to replace all that when (if) the radio dies. The Stiletto 2 is also capable of listening to Sirius via Wi-Fi, so I can take the radio and a boom box out to the patio and listen over the internet. The unit has a built in antenna and I've even listened to live Sirius while flying in commercial airplanes. I just determine which way the flight will go and secure a seat on the North side of the airplane. i put the radio between the sunshade and window and listen. This unit also can store music, so that even if you don't have satellite reception, or Wi-Fi, you can listen to the music you previously recorded. I find the Stiletto 2 to be the best all around entertainment device of its kind.Read full review
