Minecraft is that great indie game everybody has been talking about. Well, not sure if it's indie anymore. Not sure what really categorizes indie, now that I think about it. Anyways, when I bought this game, I was hoping to avoid going over $10 on it. I managed to get it for $13.33 (still a decent price). Starting out, this game is fairly addictive. Just whacking down some trees and building tools is quite fun. If you have some friends, breaking up these chores can keep everybody doing what they enjoy. However, this is where I found the fun ends. It goes on that I'm doing the same things over and over to survive, or doing the same things over and over to find variety. Anything I build has little to no value after it's been constructed. Mining is great, but finding the same supplies over and over so I can acquire the same supplies over and over is a little old after a while. Even the most valuable resources like diamond and obsidian are great when I find them, but hold little use. I could build armor and enchantments with them, but I find myself getting into the same rut. The only purpose I could do differently is finding my way to the end to fight the final boss. But the very idea of this made me realize it would most likely end two different ways. 1: I would die and just continue my way to the boss. 2: I would win and find there's nothing at the end of this long road of diamond to obsidian to the nether to the end to the boss... Thus wasting my time. Despite my complaints, I would not say this game is horrible. Every time starting off is still quite fun. It's unique in that the terrain is always different during each start so you get to improvise your way so far into the game before it gets old. Even if this part would get monotonous, it is the most I can get from the game. I've heard of mods, but the idea of modding the game until it's no longer the same game also seems tedious. I would call this a $10 game and possibly the "Most Extravagant Simple Man's Game". I'm not sure whether or not to recommend it a friend. One has to find their own value in the game. Whether it's modding, farming, mining, or building is not for me to say.Read full review

MineCraft is a Great Game. Enjoy a vast changing world that grows as you explore. Creatures to kill and build anything within your own imagination. WARNING: MineCraft runs in JAVA. It is a serious computer system sucking software. Make sure you have the most current version of JAVA installed on your computer before buying the game. Play for free - from the MineCraft website to see if you can even run the game on your computer. MAJOR WARNING: when purchasing minecraft from online sellers, please read all their details carefully. If they say you are buying in active accounts, then stay away. These accounts are probably stolen or they are accounts that have been banned. Since there is formal MineCraft servers to play on, you have to join player hosted servers. These people have the right to ban the account for mean activities from the previous owners and it sticks with the account forever. Either way be careful when purchasing online accounts. I know everybody is out there looking for deals, but it is safer to make your own account and purchase the game at full price. Over all, minecraft is a super game that you can easily hours upon hours playing. If you love it after trying it for free on their website, I encourage you to purchase it from them and not resellers cause you do not know the status of the account you are getting.Read full review
