This is more a review about the experience the Xbox 360 offers at this point instead of this particular model. Surely if you purchase a newer model you'll be guaranteed more reliable, quieter, efficient, and feature rich console. At this point buying an Xbox is not as appealing as it was a few years ago. Newer consoles will be coming out soon and the PS3 offers more bang for your buck. If you want to just play games mainly then this is not the best option right now. The selection of games isn't as rich as the PS3 with only a few notable franchises. To get the full experience out of the Xbox you must subscribe to Live gold to be able to then use of almost all the apps such as Netflix, amazon video, last fm, etc along with the ability to play online. The most annoying thing is that you must pay a separate subscription for those services as well. All of this is free on the Playstation 3 except for the subscriptions to Hulu, Netflix, etc. The interface is very smooth and responsive as well as appealing to look at. There are a few cases where practicality and function take a backseat to flash. Overall it's a great user friendly interface. Now on to the games. Besides Halo, Gears of War, Forza there isn't much that screams " I must play this." Everything else is also available on PS3. A big flaw for the Xbox is a lack of Blu-ray and the use of incredibly overpriced specialized hard drives. To sum up its a great console with some good games, but it lacks the amount of games PS3 offers, you must pay extra for many things that are free on competing platforms, and it isn't the best option as a centerpiece for an HD living room.Read full review
I bought this console because I wanted a console with HDMI to play on my new TV without lag. It has served this purpose excellently (With hdmi connection,) and has incredible picture quality. I like the picture quality, the controller design, the online community, and the multiplayer. I don't, however, like the charges for playing online, and the lack of games not rated M for mature. I also don't like the necessity of buying a pre-repaired console, because of a design flaw. Gameplay overall is much better than the Wii's, and slightly better than the PlayStation 3's.
When I bought the counsel, I was not aware that I had to buy an adapter to get wireless Wi-Fi. That should have been in the discription or something. Despite this minor set back, I recommend this purchase.

This is the first time I ever owned an Xbox 360 always had PlayStation and I really like the Xbox 360, controllers a little bigger than the PlayStation but all in all I give the Xbox a 10 so far my favorite game to play is Halo. Glad I chose the Xbox 360 and I bought the call of duty ghosts skin for it and it looks great.

It has the fan mod done to it do it is very loud and it was full of dirt when I tried cleaning it. But I will say that the disc drive worked perfectly on arrival and didn't need repair
