The Hard drive came as advertised and working. If I had to nit pick anything wrong it would have to be the packaging and that there was some files on the hard drive which I deleted. If you need a Xbox 360 hard he has you covered.

Pros: - Cheap in price - Modest storage outside of games - Works right out of the box Cons: - Not really wiped of data (some installed games were found. I later deleted them and formatted HDD) - Not exactly 20 GB (but it's more of the manufactures limiting the exact capacity) Overall: It's decent for the price but if you can, you can find a 40GB HDD for your Xbox 360 slim for only a few dollars more.

This was a necessary part for the gaming experience on the 360. Some games can't be played unless you have a hard drive. I went with this one for economical reasons. On the average the 20gb hd goes for about $45 used and $89.99 brand new. I got this one brand new for $47 + shipping. Real good deal. Has some demos and trial versions and one full version of a game already on it. My quirk is I can't account for close to 5gb of the storage space. When installed in the system it reads that there is 10.5 gb free space. It also tells me what demos and such are using what amount of memory. That's an approximate total of 5gb. Where's the other 4.5gb? This seems to happen with any memory device I've ever owned. Missing memory! Where did it go? Overall, I am happy with it especially for the price.
Purchased used on eBay to test a recently repaired RROD XBOX 360. If you are new to this console than here are a few pointers. Get this instead of a memory card, the only benefit of cards is portability. Don't bother if you want to copy your XBOX games to the hard drive. Most games are a huge 6.8GB of data so you can maybe get 2 games to fit on the on the drive because of the system software. For parents with who are buying for their kids the smart buy maybe the 60GB XBOX live bundle, which includes a headset and a $19.99 Live! card. With an average price of $89.99 less the card and headset, you are essentially getting the drive for $54.98. That's the best price per GB ratio. Still way over priced essentially double price for a laptop drive, buy if you want to play you have to pay! Check around for new products as there maybe new product when you are reading this. You have to have an hard drive but probably not this one.Read full review
Being a gamer, and seeing new games and such appearing out of the blue and more and more games needing extra stuff to make it look cool. But for the rest of us core games who don't need the extra hoopla in our video games for X-Box 360, there is an alternate. The original X-Box HDD b.k.a. the X-Box 360 20GB HDD is what non-core, easy going and casual gamers need. Just enough space for all of your saves, enough space for the new X-Box Experience and more. If you're looking for the Bigger Better Deal, try a 120GB or a 160GB HDD, but if you're not into the additional stuff added into it, or just want to play the game, then the 20GB is up your alley.
