This game will still fly on Win 7, and using an old MS sidewinder 2, you can still play it with force feedback. Although i'v seen worse games, Most of this game seems like an afterthought, The aircraft are diverse, you can fly a JU88 and an ME262 as well, the controls can be set how you want easily, and you have choice of fighter or bomber missions. MS combat flight 1 was the best 2 was not bad (my favorite part is landing on the carrier) and this one is a logical progression from those. The graphics are a bit crude compared to today but that's to be expected. Anyhow if you like flyiing games this would not be a bad choice, I just wouldn't pay over $30 tops.

I bought this really cheap on eBay after I saw a site offering an add-on pack, so I thought it must be a half way decent game. Especially considering it was only released back in like 2009 I think. Figured it might be like the other Microsoft sim stuff. It really isn't. Still might mess with it a bit though.

I am a very avid flight simmer. I have been for years, and I'm always trying different simulators from WWI to present day and combat and civilian flight. I have played all the Microsoft Combat Flight Simulators. The third and final edition of the CFS trilogy is amazing, high speed action, at high altitudes. Most WWII simulators offer the "generic" planes, i.e. P-51, P-47, Spitfire, ME-109. Although CFS3 offers these models it also offers American, British, and German early jet fighters. Your gameplay affects the outcome of the war, so their may not be any happy ending (depending on what side you fly). I would recommend buying this game.
This installed on my Windows 10 computer with no problems and no extra steps required. I had CFS 1 and 2 and they would not work at all. CFS 3 is different than the first two, so it takes some time to learn. The flying is more realistic, so more difficult to get use to, but the graphis are also better.

As stated in the title, the game works on windows XP, Vista, and 7. This blast from the past (2002) takes you back in time to the air war over Europe during WWII. Although graphically dated (fixed through fan-made mods), the gameplay is where it counts, and this old workhorse has it in spades. It includes a dynamic campaign, lots of planes, and one-off quick missions to choose from. It makes a great compliment to Microsoft Flight Simulator X and/or 2004, You know, For those times when you just want to shoot stuff. I recommend hunting down a U.K. DVD version, because it does not require the disc to be in the drive to run the program, as in the standard CD-ROM edition. Don't forget to download the 3.1 patch as well, it can be found easily through a quick google search. Microsoft really needs to think about reviving this series, It was so epic. Anyways, I hope my little review helps anyone else looking for info on this title. :)Read full review
