It works how I wanted to and is of decent quality, one of the spring holds was cracked when it arrived, but was easily fixed. The product works well, and can hold the weight when adjusted properly. I'm happy with my purchase especially at the price I bought it at, although if you want something more stable and professional you'll probably have to spend a bit more money.

Don't get me wrong, this is not an expensive K&M professional high quality mic boom. But for use in my home studio it is just what I needed. It also came with a some pleasant surprises: 1. The table mount is made from metal, not fragile plastic. The hole in the mount is not perfectly circular, so sideways movement is not very smooth. 2. The upper arm has different positions for the springs, making it possible to adjust for light or heavy microphones.

This is a great little stand for the person trying to save some money. Or perhaps someone who doesn't really use their mic all the time, but would like to have it handy for the occasional skype call/recording session, etc. It is still holding up great on my desk, the tensioner arms and springs are very strong and the arms stay exactly where you put them. The only problem I had was that my desk was too thick for the clamp to mount, so I had to remove the silver round protector right above the screw (which is supposed to be there to prevent damage/scratches to your furniture) to be able to fit the clamp on. Wasn't a problem. Also, this stand features standard mounts for all microphone mounts from what I see. I was afraid my vibration mount would not be able to screw in, and it did perfectly! I can't say anything else about this stand. Amazing stand for light use in a home or small studio.Read full review

It is in no way industrial, but works well for a lighter microphone. I an using it with a Blue yeti pro, which is really too heavy for this stand.
