Here we have a game that is designed to make you suffer. On the easy setting one can progress through several objectives using careful tactics. After the first couple of objectives the enemy force quickly outnumbers you and outguns you. You get a few field pieces like a mortar or a small cannon and a few trucks, which are practically no use at all and cumbersome to manage. The enemy has tanks and unlimited infantry soldiers that endlessly attack in massive field assaults. If you loose your small squad you are left watching the game unfold with your hands tied. You only can only control roughly five men and one small field weapon at a time. If the men in your small squad get killed, it's over. The trick is to keep your men alive and wait for reinforcements, which seemingly take forever to arrive. Also, I noticed that much of the map prevents you from firing at targets because of elevation differences. Yet the enemy can shoot you from a position where you are unable to return effective fire on him. Because of this and other issues, I came to the point of hating the game. In this game easy means hard. I can only imagine what it would be like to play on more difficult settings. For me, it's not much fun to play. Who wants to be a victim almost all the time? If this is your idea of fun, then go for it. One point of redemption for this game is the sound effects and graphics, which are slightly above average. They aren't great, but better than other games like this one. But if I only wanted great graphics and sound effects I'd watch a movie instead of playing a game. This game is like watching a low budget war movie with limited participation. FrankRead full review
