So far the flash is very functional. You are not paying top dollar and you are getting what you pay for. Using the constant on feature makes the most sense while photographing. Loose fitting on the lens but still functional. Plastic adapter rings. Again you are getting what you pay for.

It is useless at under 10'. I wanted to use it for close up on models and washes out the subject, even at it's lowest setting. Good for 10' or more. Unless I am doing something wrong, that has been my experience...the price is great under $30 and free shipping.

So, the first and a huge advantage is its price. This item is really cheap, there is only one product cheaper, but it can't flash – it’s just a flashlight. All buttons are working, assembly quality is excellent. So, if you need cheap ring-flash, the Meike FC-100 is your choice. But there are some disadvantages. Your shall understand that you can’t buy TTL flash for that price. So, it is fully manual. I had no possibility to test it with other cameras, only my Nikon D90. The cam doesn’t see it at all. You can use only P A S M modes, in other cases the pop-up flash will automatically open. And the main problem is that its light is too cold. The instruction says “color temperature: 5500K” I think, in reality it is about more than 8000K. Cheap super bright LEDs always have a blue hue in a spectrum. I suppose the exposure time is bigger than 1/100. In spite of the problem with color and synchronization it is REALLY a good choice for the beginner.Read full review
I ordered this flash because I wanted another option for macro shooting other than using a external flashes. I'm not a big fan of ring flashes but the price was good, so it gave it a go. Unfortunately, to me it has been a complete waste of money. Took it out of the box, started taking some pictures and either I got a bad sample or it's completely useless. Shooting at ISO 200 f/11, setting the flash to +1.5, every single picture comes completely underexposed, I have to either raise the ISO or use wider apertures, neither a good option for macro shooting. I used other ringflashes in the past, manual beasts from the past, and had no problem whatsoever. Thought this would work as another option, but I'll continue using external flashes, at least until I can pay a real ring flash.
If You Don't Need A Ring Light Very Often Then This Will Work Great And Not Break The Bank...
