Needed this book for class, very easy to understand and the chapter review questions really test your knowledge of what you just learned. Found the format of the book was easy and simple to understand, better then other books I have had, would highly recommend this book.

Medical terminology can be a pretty boring and laborious subject. I bought this for my girlfriend, who is starting a new job at a hospital. I decided to do it with her so I could help out and/or learn myself, and it really isn't a bad way to learn. It sure beats simply reading the words and trying to memorize them. Plus, it gives you the most widely accepted pronunciation of words, some of which can be a little tricky. Moves pretty quickly, yet give you a chance to "play along". We haven't been through the whole book or CDs yet, but so far, so good. There could be a lot worse ways to learn some of the material. I would recommend it to anyone with a basic knowledge of medical terms, who is trying to build on that knowledge, or even someone with no medical terms experience who is trying to lay the fundamental foundation.Read full review

though that was my mistake. i dint read the full description. I was looking for a book with the cd. the book had markings on it, luckily they are in pencil so i can just erase them. its in an ok condition. it is alil beat up as far as the cosmetic appearance of the book and no missing pages.
great deal on an almost unchanged previous volume of a present class textbook. Saved me hassle and alot of cash I didn;t have to spend ot it in the first place.
