I own a Marshall AVT150 150 watt amp that is fantastic- but heavy and not much fun to take along to guitar lessons. I purchased this amp as a practice amp for lessons, and it performs well. It is surprisingly loud for a little guy, and in my opinion still has that great Marshall sound. It does not have the effects that my other large Marshall has, but is does what it is supposed to do. If you want a reasonably priced practice amp, this is a good choice. If you want an amp to play to a large open areas, I would go for a higher output Marshall amp.
Finds like this are awesome! I am constructing a small amp head housing and it will be sitting on top of another creation of mine. A 4x6 mini half stack cabinet I have built......Why? ......why not!? Got a roll of some spiffy neon green tolex, and cabinet corners etc. And I will soon have a "Munchkin Marshal Leprechaun.406" half stack. ....How 'bout dat? A good guitar noodling amp for the porch or living room. The stuff dreams are made of I tell ya. Cheers. Also, it showed up faster than I had hoped, well packaged and in perfect working order. Thanks to my good neighbors to the north! Cheers, Jeff

Great amp as the new ones I have heard are not as good as this amp. It works great for my acoustic guitar and keyboards and as a monitor for my band while were out gigging weekly. I bought a personal speaker that needed power which I returned (an instrument website) and my band mate used his kids no name amp, so I was like well why not this. If you find anything Marshall your better of buying older than newer for any practice amps. Also they are silver now and that isn't the way a marshall looks like for all these years.
I gotta say, I've played this little amp a couple of days, and it will rock. It sounds great on both channels. I'm most surprised by the "Clean" channel. It gives a nice, full response, even at low volumes. And the OD channel offers as many variables as you'd want (from just a little fusion dirty to full on banging down the walls).
I purchased a Marshall practice amp MG10CD 6.5. Has a full 40 watts of power(enough to run everybody out of the house). Has a lot of neat features from a crisp clean sound to a very fuzzy soun. Great for paracticing as you can use earphones or headset with it.
