Publication depicts Marilyn at possibly her most vunerable and disoriented time in life and impacts one with what I believe her hope filled need for an opportunity to reestablish herself as a professional. Three days passed as Stern begins photographing Marilyn in tasteful and fashionable poses displaying the clothing as initially assigned by Vogue for their to be published Magazine tailored and marketed for the "in" group. Sophistication in attire was paramount and with each change in scenary the theme degenerated to the sultry and vampish poses until the last series after which three bottles of Don Perione had been consumed Marilyn was photographed in her celebrated nudity. Stern denies that he influences her activities. Reading the book allows one to draw their own conclusions. Further descriptive phrases on my part will only detract from the context which one must experience. Thr book itself is a behemoth in size and difficult to handle. Weight of the publication is in excess of nine pounds measuring 11 1/4 x 13 inches printed on a quality paper/rag. An item which with age can only survive as it is meant to do.Read full review
